Diagnostics

We offer nondestructive testing of rails, welds, build-ups, frogs and switching tongues of points in the field of railway transport, executed by out qualified testing personnel and nondestructive test methods. Basic rail checks are carried out by means of the hand-held Starmans DIO 562 universal crack detector. When looking for flaws and in checks of renewed components of points, we apply the Panametrics Epoch 4 detector.

Measurements of complete sets of the geometric parameters of modernized rails are carried out by the KRAB machine, approved for use in the ŽSR network by the Centre of Technical Infrastructure. The system records, in 0.25 m steps, the rail gauge, direction, rise and warp, as well as the track length.

Determination of the geometry of rail welds is subject to strict tolerances, mainly in speeds exceeding 160 km/h. We apply the Metal Elektro contactless ruler in such measurements, providing 250 measuring points per 1 m of weld in a welded section.
