Welding

This field of our performances offers welding of railway and tramway line rails, welding of build-up material on railway and tramway superstructures. We apply the ELEKTRO-THERMIT ESSEN technology in the welding of rails, points, grooved rails and S49, R65, UIC 60 shaped rails.

We use special profile grinding machines in the post-trimming finalization of welds.

We apply the SRZ and SRZ-E welding methods for grooved rails. The SRZ – E technology uses single-purpose euro trays, with automatic stoppers tapping off the molten material integrating in the tray, and filters suitable for indoor work. We used this method during the welding works in the tramway line below Bratislava Castle. The technology was successful in increasing our productivity and reducing welding gas concentrations.

We weld rails also manually by coated-electrode arc welding, for which we developed our own technological process.
